I must admit I had never heard of theme before … a real shame, since their catalogue is quite impressive with historical boardgames covering unusual periods and conflicts:
- WWI with “Red Poppies” (tactical) and “Guns of August” (strategic). I’m wondering how close it is from the original Avalon Hill opus and from the computer based eponym game from Matrix Games.
- American civil war and French/Indian wars with “Hold the Line“
- Victorian era with “Victoria Cross II“
- Roman era with “Caesar’s Gallic War“
I’m looking forward to very exciting surprises and game experiences! To get a sense of the quality of the games produced, you can have a look at this review and strategy guide for Caesar’s Gallic War (TheBoargamingLife blog)
